Anderson Propane is seeking a detailed oriented individual to fill a full-time position for our local office.  Responsibilities include a variety of duties to support sales, service and office staff.  Looking for a team player with strong customer service, organizational and computer skills and the ability to multitask and perform in a busy, fast paced diversified environment.  The applying individual should be personable, self-motivated with an outgoing attitude and pleasant phone demeanor with a desire to work with the public.  Previous clerical and computer experience preferred.  Pleasant working environment with company benefits and excellent opportunity.

Customer Service Representative Job Description

The Customer Service Representative attracts potential customers by answering product and service questions; suggesting information about other products and services. Process orders, prepare correspondences and fulfill customer needs to ensure customer satisfaction.

General Purpose

Interact with customers to provide and process information in response to inquiries, concerns and requests about products and services.

Job Type: Full-time

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

Deal directly with customers either by telephone, electronically or face to face

Respond promptly to customer inquiries

Handle and resolve customer complaints

Obtain and evaluate all relevant information to handle product and service inquiries

Provide pricing and delivery information

Perform customer verifications

Set up new customer accounts

Create and schedule installation and service appointments

Process orders, forms, applications and requests

Organize workflow to meet customer timeframes

Direct requests and unresolved issues to the designated resource

Manage customers' accounts

Keep records of customer interactions and transactions

Record details of inquiries, comments and complaints

Record details of actions taken

Prepare and distribute customer invoices and statements

Maintain customer databases

Communicate and coordinate with internal departments

Follow up on customer interactions

Provide feedback on the efficiency of the customer service process

Education and Experience

High school diploma, general education degree or equivalent required

Associate Degree or other higher levels of education preferred

Knowledge of customer service principles and practices

Knowledge or experience with call center practices

Knowledge of relevant computer applications

Ability to type and use multi-line phones

Knowledge of administrative procedures

Numeric, oral and written language applications

Product knowledge
