Account Representative Job Description
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
We are looking for an Account Representative to create long-term, trusting relationships with our commercial dealers. The Account Representative’s role is to oversee a portfolio of assigned customers, provide daily invoicing, regular account reconciliation, report and maintain company monthly and quarterly goals as well as create and maintain contracts, as needed. The Account Representative will operate as a point of contact for any matters specific to assigned accounts, answer client queries and liaise with our Dealer Representative, Operations and Customer Service staff to improve the entire customer experience.
Being organized is essential to being an effective Account Representative where each day will require timely settlement of accounts, customer communication and payment transactions. Our Account Representative should have critical thinking and problem solving skills, who are excellent at time and project management with a keen attention to detail, accurate and adherence to deadlines. This position will require the candidate to be proficient with and able to use Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, varied internet browsers and have general computer literacy to operate our business systems, generate settlements, develop dealer contracts and reports as well as electronic communication with supporting staff and customers.
Education, Experience and Abilities
This position requires a minimum education with an Associates’ degree in Business Administration, Accounting or an appropriate field of study along with 2 years’ experience (transcripts may be requested). If a candidate has no formal education, then an equivalent work experience in account management or a related area for 5 years or more is desired.
We are interested in persons that are natural relationship builders with integrity, reliability and maturity. Excellent listening, negotiation abilities with strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary. A high comfort level in initiating conversations or correspondence is essential to fulfilling the daily duties of our Account Representative position.
The starting wage for this position is $14-$18 per hour, but based on experience level; wages will be determined for the full-time position.
