Participate in Anderson Propane Service’s Family Pet Photo Contest with our customers and friends on Facebook.  Take a photo of your family pet with a witty caption about propane or Anderson Propane Service, Inc. Then send it in for a chance to win!

Join in on the fun:

1. Submit via email, a photo of your family pet (alone or with family and friends) with a caption on the photo or in the body of the message and send to contest@andersonpropane.com (Please keep it clean, like our energy-efficient fuel, so we may share it on our family-friendly site). Please add your name and the names of those in the photo (especially the pet’s name) and whether or not you are a customer of Anderson Companies or just a fan.
2. We’ll pick the 10 best photos and ask APS’s Facebook community to vote on their favorites.
3. Submit your entry starting TODAY until November 30^th of this year.
4. Online voting for finalists begins on December 1st, with winner announced shortly thereafter.  Don’t forget to like us on Facebook, so you can vote for your favorite photo!

Anderson Propane Service’s Family Pet Photo Contest Official Rules

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. A PURCHASE DOES NOT INCREASE CHANCE OF WINNING.

Contest ends 11/30/2016.

ELIGIBILITY: The photo contest is only open to customers of Anderson Propane Service, Inc. who are legal U.S. residents and 18 years of age or older (or 19 years of age or older for residents of AL and NE) as of October 10, 2016. Employees of the Sponsor, the Sponsor Affiliates including authorized distributors of the Sponsor’s products or any of the members of their immediate family (defined as spouse, mother, father, in-laws, grandmother, grandfather, brother, sister, children and grandchildren) or same household of each are not eligible to participate. This Contest is void outside the state of Virginia and where prohibited or restricted by law, and is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws.

HOW TO ENTER: Enter the Photo Contest beginning at 12:00:01 AM ET 10/10/2016 and ending 11:59:59 PM ET 11/30/2016. Entrants may submit via email, all requested information including a photo that includes the entrant’s family pet and caption – limited to 140 characters – regarding what the entrant believes is “living with Anderson Propane Service, Inc”. and send to contest@andersonpropane.com to complete registration. The photo and caption entry must be an original work created by the person entering the Photo Contest and cannot have previously won a contest or other promotion. Photo and caption must not have been previously published, must not be awaiting publication, nor may be submitted for publication consideration during the Contest Period. Entries must be received by 11:59:59 PM ET 11/30/2016 and must be complete in order to be eligible. Online entries generated by script, macro or other automated means are void. Normal Internet access and usage charges imposed by entrant’s online service will apply. Neither the Sponsor nor the Sponsor Affiliates assume any responsibility for incorrect or inaccurate capture of entry information, including, but not limited to, technical malfunctions, human or technical errors, printing errors, lost/delayed/garbled data or transmissions, omission, interruption, deletion, defect or failures of any telephone or computer line or network, computer equipment, software or any combination thereof

PRIZES AND APPROXIMATE VALUE: One (1) Grand Prize: A $100 Visa gift card.  Total Approximate retail value (“ARV”) of all prizes: $100.00. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute prize with another prize of equal or greater value. The prize winner will be solely responsible for all federal, state and/or local taxes, and for any other fees or costs associated with the prizes they receive, regardless of whether it, in whole or in part, is used.  The Grand Prize winner may be required to provide Sponsor with a valid Anderson Companies account number or valid identification before the prize will be awarded.  Unclaimed prizes may be awarded to an alternate winner.

WINNER SELECTION/NOTIFICATION:  There will be two (2) rounds of judging to determine the Anderson Propane Service’s Family Pet Photo Contest Winners. First Round: The Judging Panel will be comprised of five individuals from the Photo Contest Administrator. The Judging Panel will select the top 10 entries by 11/30/2016 from all eligible entries.  During the first round, the submitted entries will be reviewed and judged based on the following criteria: how well photo captures Anderson Propane Service, Inc. and how it benefits its customers, creativity/originality, emotional impact, photographic impact, and writing ability. The 10 entrants whose photo and caption are selected by the Judging Panel will become finalists.  Second Round: Photos and captions of the 10 finalists will be judged, and voted for, by visitors to the APS Facebook page on or about 12/01/2016 until 12/10/2016. The winners will be notified on or about 12/11/2016 by email. Winning photos and captions are unofficial until verified by Sponsor.  The potential winner will be notified by email and may be required to complete, sign and return a notarized Affidavit of Eligibility/Release of Liability and, where legal, Publicity Release within 14 days of notification attempt or prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner selected.  Winners will be notified and prizes will be shipped within 6 to 8 weeks after winners are announced. If any notifications or prizes are returned as undeliverable after one attempt and/or the Prize winner’s affidavit and release is not returned to the Sponsor within 14 days of date of prize notification, the winner may be disqualified and an alternate winner may be selected. Taxes are the sole responsibility of winner.

GENERAL RULES: Email entries will be declared to be made by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at the time of entry. Authorized account holder is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an Internet Access provider, Online Service provider or other organization (e.g., business, educational institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address. Sponsor reserves the right at their sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers or attempts to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Photo Contest or website; violates the Official Rules; or acts in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. In the event this Photo Contest is compromised or becomes technically corrupted in any way, electronically or otherwise, the Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, terminate or suspend the online portion of the Contest and, in such event, to select winners by random drawing from among all eligible email entries received, up to such time of cancellation, termination or suspension, and all eligible mailed entries received. Entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the judges. Entrant agree that the submitted photo and caption becomes the sole property of the Sponsor, and the Sponsor reserves the right to edit, adapt, copyright, publish, transfer and use any or all of them, without compensation. All aspects of the prizes are nontransferable and no substitutions or cash equivalents are allowed except at the Sponsor’s sole discretion. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value of an advertised prize if unavailable for any reason. All entries become the property of the Sponsor and will not be returned. Prize winners agree to indemnify and hold harmless and waive any and all claims of liability of any kind whatsoever against the Sponsor and/or the Sponsor Affiliates, including any accident, loss, injury or death occurring or in any way related to the prizes or use/misuse thereof or while traveling to and/or from a location to obtain or use the prize. Neither the Sponsor nor the Sponsor Affiliates make any warranty, representation or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to the use of the prizes including, without limitation, quality, merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Winner, in accepting his or her prize, consents to the use of his or her name, address (city, state), photograph and likeness for purposes of advertising, trade and promoting in any and all media on behalf of the Sponsor, without further compensation, except where prohibited by law. Winners are responsible for any and all federal, state and local taxes.

DISPUTES AND GOVERNING LAW: The parties waive all rights to trial in any action or proceeding instituted in connection with these Official Rules, including, without limitation, the Sweepstakes. Any controversy or claim arising out of, or relating to, these Official Rules and/or the Sweepstakes shall be settled by binding arbitration in accordance with the commercial arbitration rules of the American Arbitration Association. Any such controversy or claim shall be arbitrated on an individual basis and shall not be consolidated in any arbitration with any claim or controversy of any other party. The arbitration shall be conducted in Fredericksburg, VA.

THESE OFFICIAL RULES AND THE INTERPRETATION OF ITS TERMS SHALL BE GOVERNED BY, AND CONSTRUED IN ACCORDANCE WITH, THE LAWS OF THE STATE OF VIRGINIA WITHOUT REGARD TO ITS CONFLICTS OF LAWS AND RULES. For any matters that are not subject to arbitration as set forth in these Official Rules and/or in connection with the entering of any judgment on an arbitration award in connection with these Official Rules and/or the Sweepstakes, the parties irrevocably submit and consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the courts located in or closest to Fredericksburg, VA. The parties agree not to raise the defense of forum non conveniens.
